St. Olaf TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a college preparatory program funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s TRIO Programs with St. Olaf College sponsorship. The goal of ETS is to increase the likelihood that participants learn about careers, college, and financial aid, complete high school, and gain admission to and ultimately graduate from postsecondary programs.
ETS serves 103 Edison students who meet federal income guidelines and/or will be the first in their families to obtain a college degree. ETS also serves Humboldt High School and Middle School, Community of Peace Academy, and Northeast Middle School.
Advisors are available in person at Edison on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school day (8:00 am - 3:05 pm) in the Blue Room in the Media Center. TRIO ETS academic advisors are also available virtually Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Azi graduated from The College of St. Benedict and Saint John’s University with a major in Sociology. Before becoming an advisor for TRIO ETS, Azi worked for TRIO Upward Bound’s summer program for 3 years. Working at Upward Bound is what made Azi passionate about educational advocacy for underrepresented students. Azi is thrilled to be in a position where he can assist students who might be facing a challenging and intimidating process, ensuring they don’t have to navigate it alone.
