A note from Ms. Swanson: Hi. I've been teaching at Southwest since 2007. Before that I taught for 17 years at Anwatin Middle School, in Minneapolis. I feel so lucky to be a part of Southwest High School. What a great place to get an education! Sidenote; My family does a lot of fostering of cats, dogs, and kittens. We always have some kind of foster(s) running around our house.

Assessment
Scores will be weighted within the following categories.
Formative Assessments 20%. Includes your Inter-Active Notebook, daily assignments, videos, and smaller learning activities.
Summative Assessments 80%. Includes lab investigations, chapter quizzes, unit tests, and projects.
