My name is Della Harr. I grew up in Sparta, Wisconsin. After studying elementary and special education, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

I moved to Minnesota about one year after graduating from college. I lived and taught in Sandstone, Minnesota for three years before moving to the Minneapolis area.

I have been a teacher with Minneapolis Public Schools for more than 35 years. This is the beginning of my 13th year working at Andersen.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles, singing, and crafting. I also enjoy visiting family (including my mom and 9 grandnieces and grandnephews) in Wisconsin.

As a special education teacher, my role is to support students in achieving their IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals and objectives. I work with students in the areas of reading, writing, math, study skills, and social skills.

I look forward to working with all of you - students, families, and staff. We will learn, work, practice, and grow together!
