Mrs. Menard

Welcome Families!

My name is Mrs. Menard, and I am the Instructional Specialist and Arts Coordinator for Cityview Community School! I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, and I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Education Specialist Degree from the University of St. Thomas. I have taught preschool, elementary, and middle school students, and I have also worked as a dean of students.

Since 2012, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with students, staff, and families in schools on the North side. I have served our community by supporting students in literacy and math instruction, by planning and implementing lessons for several grade levels including fifth grade students, and by organizing arts events and opportunities connected to our Turnaround Arts program. I also make connections with community organizations to bring artist in residencies and artist visits to our school by applying for grants and programs.

In my current role, I support students, teachers, and administrators through teacher observations, coaching, planning and facilitating professional development, by supporting math instruction as the Math Lead, and by serving as a resource for arts integration, advanced learner education, and data driven instruction.

In my time outside of the school day, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three young daughters, and our dog. I love reading, attending painting classes, ice skating, running, and cooking family dinners. I also volunteer as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and at figure skating events.

I truly feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with our excellent students and staff members at Cityview!
