ABOUT ME
My name is Peter Branstad, and this will be my sixth year at North Community High School. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, and I've taught in Minneapolis and St. Louis, MO, for the last nine years in high school and middle school roles. I love sports of all sorts, and I am the Head Coach of the North High Baseball Team, but I have also coached football and soccer at North as well. I hope that all students get involved in at least one extracurricular activity to receive a well-rounded educational experience and feel a true sense of belonging. At home, my wife and I have a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter, we enjoy quality time with a large extended family and travel.
I hope to bring to North an ability to develop meaningful relationships with students and families, and a drive to prepare students for the world after their K-12 education while helping them build confidence in their own amazing personal skills and abilities.
I am always looking to bring experts from the community to my classes, please reach out to me if you or someone you know has expertise in any field relating to Government or Economics.
