Room E20 @ Southwest High School - Life Skills Program - Ms. Robinson's classroom :)
Student Expectations.
Students are expected to come to class everyday on time, prepared and ready to learn. In class, they are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is conductive to learning. Materials are provided in the classroom. Helping peers, engaging in conversations with the classroom topic/learning target, asking questions, and completing daily tasks/assignments are expectations to be engaged in as a professional student. Students will use their school email and use chromebooks to seek information and post completed work, unless written.
Grading.
Students will be graded on daily assignments and classroom participation which will be kept during distant learning within their Google Classroom sites or within the their binders when campus learning resumes. Students complete the daily work which can be made up with any penalty. It is the student's responsibility to recover missing work during make up sessions with adult support to work towards earning full credit and passing grades.
Grading will be earning a letter grades (A, B, C, D, + F) along with CR/NC if supported by teaching staff or the student's IEP accommodations.
Parents will have access to their student's Google Classroom assignments log, which posts what assignments are coming up, late, or incomplete/complete. Parents will have access to their student's Parent Portal of daily/weekly updates with completed/missing assignments from all teachers. Parents will be directly notified if their student is noted with either attendance issues/failure grades/no effort to participate, to meet + make a plan to succeed
