Applied Art explores mediums that are often considered outside the realm of fine arts. Art-making opportunities will include weaving, dyeing, paper-making and clay beads. Students will study cultural influences on crafts from a variety of different countries.  We will discuss how these mediums are regarded in today’s society, and the role of crafts in art.
