ABOUT ME
This is my fifth year teaching at North Community High School. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and i'm a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, (baseball team) St. Louis Blues (hockey team) and formerly known as St. Louis Rams (football team).
I graduated from the University of Concordia, St. Paul in 2005 with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiolgy and a minor in Sports Management.
I started my career in education in 2008 as an Special Educational Assistant at Riverbend Elementary/ Middle School. In 2014, I entered the grow your on program at the University Minnesota, designed for special education assistants to earn a Masters Degree and teaching license. Upon graduation in May of 2016, I accepted a position at North High School as a SPAN Special Education Teacher.
For the last four years I've been the 9th grade Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT). I love the process of being a postive role model for students as they pursue their academic goals.
