Meet the Teacher
I have been teaching mathematics in Minneapolis public high schools since the start of the 2000-2001 school year. I spent my first twelve years teaching at Patrick Henry HS. Then I taught for two years over at Southwest HS. Now I have been teaching at Roosevelt HS since the start of the 2014-2015 school year. I'm also heavily involved with athletics having coached Golf in the past at Patrick Henry and announcing many volleyball/football/basketball games over the years at various schools. I have been the Roosevelt Boys/Girls Golf Coach since the spring of 2022.
I am a product of MPS (Edison c/o 1995) and I'm passionate about all things Minneapolis having lived my entire life in the city. I earned my B.A. in Mathematics with a Specialist in Math Education from the U of M in 2000 and I also earned my Master's Degree from the U of M in 2007. My wife Shannon is also a math teacher but she works across the river in St. Paul. My daughter Ella is class of 2023 at South HS and my son Ethan will be class of 2026 at Roosevelt. We have lived in the Roosevelt community (between Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Falls) since 2002 and we absolutely love it here!
