Senior Class Officers work closely with the Senior Advisor to plan and coordinate memorable senior year events. Each officer also prepares and delivers a speech at the Graduation Ceremony.
Beyond graduation, serving as a South Senior Class Officer is a lifetime commitment - as officers help organize future class reunions!
At South, we have three officer positions each year:
President: The President serves as the official representative of the senior class. In this role, the President oversees the other class officers, helps coordinate class activities, and ensures clear communication with classmates. Additionally, the President prepares and delivers a CELEBRATORY speech and the graduation ceremony.
Vice President: The Vice President supports the President in planning events and preparing speeches throughout the year. in the President's absence, the Vice President assumes all presidential responsibilities. At the graduation ceremony, the Vice President delivers the STAFF APPRECIATION SPEECH, honoring the faculty and staff who have supported the class along the way.
Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for keeping detailed notes from officer meetings and helping to design and share advertisements for the class events. Additionally, the Secretary will interview the Commencement Speaker and deliver the INTRODUCTION SPEECH at the graduation ceremony.
