Parent Education is based on the fact that parents are children's first and most important teachers. The goal of this class is to enhance the ability of our student parents to provide the best possible environments and experiences for their child's learning and development.

To do this we use:

The Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework.

1. Early Childhood: Stages Development

2. Parent Development

3. Parent-Child Relationship Development

4. Family Growth and Development

5. Culture and Community Engagement and Validation

Parent Education category descriptions:

2. Parent development teaches about stages of parenthood, the effects of family of origin, and the balance of parent and child needs.

3. Parent-child relationships will teach about the importance of the parent-child relationship. Nature, quality, and intentionality are needed to fulfill your parenting goals. We will discuss attachment, autonomy, trust, brain development, and relationship skills.
