Thank you for supporting students' education in and through the arts!

I am excited for my 11th year with Minneapolis Public Schools and with Folwell School, Performing Arts Magnet.

A few things about myself:

I grew up in the west metro, in the small towns of Victoria and Waconia, and spent the majority of my time playing outside and dancing. I started dancing at 3 and quickly realized that I had a passion and love for all things dance. Over the course of elementary, middle, and high school, I spent countless hours developing my technique in ballet and jazz. After high school, I attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and received a BA in Dance in 2007. Once I graduated, I realized that I wanted to go into public education and in 2009, I received my K-12 Dance License and in 2017, I received my K-12 Administrators License.

I have been working at Folwell (formally Ramsey) since 2009. I began an elementary dance program and had the opportunity to move, grove, create, collaborate, explore, and dance with students until 2017. In 2017, I stepped into a different position within Folwell supporting students' social emotional learning (SEL) in a variety of ways.

For this current school year, I have had the pleasure of integrating the arts with SEL, equity and social justice. I look forward to sharing the work we're doing with you and please feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns!
