Parents:
I keep you updated by text and email. I prefer texting and will send you any information that is immediate and short. Please be sure that you have supplied me and the office with recent emails and cell numbers.
Friday Work
We have 4 days of lessons, but I do contact students and families for 1-1 lessons with me on Friday if progress is either moving in the wrong direction or if work is not coming in daily. If there is no work on Friday that is carefully done and handed in on Seesaw, Dreambox or Lexia I count your child absent. If I am working with your child on Friday, I will count your child as present.
Friday Plan and Expectations
30 minutes on Lexia
30 minutes on Dreambox
30 minutes on Epic or Benchmark assignments (enter through Clever)
Complete any Seesaw assignments from the previous 4 days

About me
My name is Liz Rockman. I was born in Minneapolis, and went to public schools here. I spent some of my middle school years in India with my family who were University professors on sabbatical. After graduating from Colorado State University I lived and worked in marketing and advertising in Denver for 10 years. I moved back to Minneapolis to be with my family and was a video and filmmaker for corporations. I had a strong calling to work with children and to teach in the world of Montessori education. I returned to school to get a Masters in Education, and then Montessori training. I was lucky enough to come to Seward. I have been teaching almost 20 years and most of them have been at Seward. I have a grown son (29 years old) who also went to Seward. He is a sports photographer in Minneapolis. I love learning languages. In college I took every language that I could. Then I worked overseas as a nanny to practice them. I haven’t used them lately, so I’m no longer fluent, but I still manage to travel and learn languages here at Seward.
