About Profesora Lundberg

My name is Elisabeth (Liz) Lundberg and students call call me Profe Lundberg.  I am very excited to be a member of the Southwest High School  team as a Spanish teacher.  I am originally from Minneapolis, MN and I am proud to have graduated from Minneapolis Public Schools — I am a  South high graduate.   I studied Spanish K-12 Education at the University of St. Thomas where I took advantage of  several study abroad experiences including a J-term in Cuernavaca, Mexico and two semester's in Sevilla, Spain.  After graduating in 2000, I spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua where I taught in local schools and collaborated with the local government office working  on several environmental projects including reforestation and recycling.  In 2004  I earned a M.S. degree in Tourism Administration at Western Illinois University focusing on Eco-Tourism.  I spent the next 5 years working on board cruise ships and yachts promoting the tourism industry and eventually ending up in Palma de Mallorca, Spain raising a family and teaching English to both children and business professionals.  In 2016 I relocated back to Minneapolis, MN and I have worked in the St. Louis Park School District, Robbinsdale School District,  and MPS school district first as an elementary teacher in North Minneapolis before transferring to Southwest high school in 2020.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if I can be of assistance to you in any way.
