About

Welcome to Language and Literature class!

My name is Kirsten Wolf, and it's my 7th year at Anthony. I have a 1-year-old daughter, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with her. I grew up in Hutchinson, Minnesota, but I've lived in Minneapolis for about 13 years. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, and I received my Master's in Education from Augsburg College. In addition to teaching at Anthony, I've taught English classes to Engligh language learners of all ages, tutored students preparing for the ACTs, and carried a variety of other positions. My favorite things to do are travel, bike, eat breakfast foods, spend time with my family, and read. In fact, I love to read! I can be contacted at kirsten.wolf@mpls.k12.mn.us.

This year, our 7th grade classes will also be taught with Catherine McGehee. She is an ALD (Academic Langauge Development) teacher, and we co-teach, which is when two teachers teach a class together. We work to make classes engaging and accessible for all students. This is her 8th year teaching at Anthony. Before she taught at Anthony, she lived in Thailand for a year and taught ESL to elementary and high school students. She attended University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate years, and she graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul in 2015 with a master's degree in ESL. In her free time, she likes to travel, camp, hike, exercise, and spend time with friends and family. She can be contacted at catherine.mcgehee@mpls.k12.mn.us.

Sahra Mohamed is a student teacher, coming from Augsburg University. She will be with us for the first quarter!
