Hi! My name is Joseph (Joe) Lex and I am a 1st grade teacher at Folwell Community School which is part of Minneapolis Public Schools. I began with this program when we were located at Ramsey International Fine Arts (at 49th and Nicollet in the building which now houses Justice Page Middle School) in 2006 and have been at the Folwell site since we moved here in 2012. During my time with Ramsey/Folwell I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades.

I attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I also have a master's degree in Education from St. Catherine University in St. Paul and have completed the K-12 Reading Licensure program through the University of Minnesota.

I love to travel, garden, ride my bike, go hiking, and read. I'm also a amateur genealogist.
