Geometry is a year-long course that focuses on solving problems and justifying results using the properties of planar and three-dimensional figures. We will investigate patterns found in properties of geometric figures and use that information to make conjectures.

We will create knowing and understanding of how figures are related to geometrically and algebraically. You will be exprected to use correct language and geometric symbols to communicate mathematics through this course. We focus on both informal and formal proof of our discoveries. Throughout the learning process you will also apply mathematics in real-world contexts. You will have the opportunity to select appropriate mathematical models and justify how those relate to authentic real-life situations.
