Course Description:
Fitness for Life will provide students an opportunity to meet the Minnesota State Standards for Physical and Health Education objectives at the highest levels. Physical and Health Education contributes a unique perspective to the development of the attributes of young people, promoting the health of individuals and communities. The curriculum is designed to encompass the following:
Team sports: football, soccer, team handball, volleyball, floor hockey, base games, etc.
Individual sports: badminton, pickleball, tennis, lifetime games, etc.
Physical and health-related knowledge: components of fitness, training methods, training principles, lifestyle training, weight training , Nutrition, and issues in sport
Aesthetic movement: aerobics, dance, etc.
