The Ethnic Studies Club is a chance to:
Enjoy learning about others cultures (food, languages, cultural taboos) and discover our intersectional identities
Discuss in a safe & brave space about the lived experiences of BIPOC students and other marginalized identities in school and around the world
Promote Ethnic Studies curriculum in all of our classes like:
Native American, Black History, Latinx/Chicanx and Asian American history, art and literacy that aren’t taught in school
How to be a better global citizen, a good community member and advocate for others
GOAL OF THIS CLUB:
Validate and affirm BIPOC groups and their struggles
Build solidarity with other races, ethnicities and communities
Raise consciousness about topics not taught in school
Be able to advocate and speak up on issues in our school and in our community
