Biography

My education began at Bethel University in St. Paul. I graduated in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, with minors in Art and Bible.

I worked as a staff member, and then case manager with Booth Brown House, a shelter and treatment facility for teens for 10 years.

In 1997 I completed my MA in Adlerian Psychotherapy from the Alfred Adler Institute, then in St. Louis Park. I spent a short time as the lead Therapist with Booth Brown House, prior to changing careers, and becoming a Rock-Climbing enthusiast and instructor with Vertical Endeavors in St. Paul, MN.

In 1998 I became the Program Director for Climbing and Adventure Programs at the University of Minnesota, and in 2002-2007 I managed the Youth and Community Programs for the University of Minnesota.

In 2007 I completed my course work at the U of M to receive my Licensure in K-12 School Counseling. In July of 2008, I joined the counseling team at Thomas Edison High School. 2020-21 will be my thirteenth year with Edison, and I'm loving every moment.
