Music Exploration and Choir

This is my 36th year teaching Music at Andersen! I have taught Music to High 5- 8th grade students. Last year, was the first year that all of my classes were Middle School students. This year, I teach Varsity Choir, Choir and Music Exploration. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and accompanying various choirs.
In Music Exploration we:
Learn basic guitar skills
Use computer technology to write, arrange and record music individually and in a small group (Soundtrap)
Learn how to play the electric piano using basic chords and playing a melody
In Choir we:
Build vocal skills with daily vocalizing and breathing exercises.
Sing a variety of styles of music in 2-part and 3- part harmonies.
Develop performance skills and perform in several concerts and events throughout the year.
