Hello! I graduated from Southwest High School, went to the University of Arizona and got my BA in Child Development and Special Education. After, I received an elementary teaching licence from Augsburg College and s Masters in Deaf Education from the University of MN. I have been teaching ASL at Southwest High School since 2008. I love spending my summers up north at our family cabin, baking, reading, biking, and spending time with my two sons and husband.
Welcome to Southwest High Schools American Sign Language (ASL) Web page.

ASL is a visual language that is learned best when lessons are presented with no voice, so this class is a silent class. Students are expected to be present for meetings at their assigned time. After the lesson has been presented students will be responsible for completing assignments on time. If students need help after the lesson I will stay online and be able to answer questions.
Please watch the curriculum video posted below that will hopefully answer many of your questions.
