Student Learning Outcomes

Area 7.2: Upon successful completion of this area, students will have demonstrated an ability to accurately assess knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to their career goals. The career component that must be evident in the description, outcomes, objectives, and content.

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, students will be able to:

Communicate effectively and professionally in the workplace, collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, and adapt their communication style to various workplace situations.
Identify and apply practical knowledge and skills that are instrumental in shaping their academic trajectories, enabling them to make substantial contributions to their workplaces and establish a solid groundwork for future career achievements.

Upon completion of this course, students have demonstrated the ability to:

Communicate results of their work experience clearly, in writing, and through the use of various technological methods.
Interconnect various coursework and apply it in a volunteer, internship, or job experience.
Accurately assess knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to their academic goals.
Explain how their chosen career field shows up in society and what role it takes on in the community.
Develop skills to overcome physical reactions to adverse workplace environments and situations.
Identify workplace scenarios when the use of emotional intelligence would increase workplace productivity.
Gain the ability to use evaluation as a tool of self-improvement and not a personal critique or criticism.
Employ reflection to analyze their learning objectives and outcomes.
Apply newly acquired knowledge and skills to inform their career academic pathway.
