Student Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, students will be able to:

Analyze and evaluate the gender dynamics within the business world and identify and critique biases and barriers commonly encountered by women. They will apply critical thinking skills to assess gender-related issues in business and devise actionable strategies for addressing them.
Explain effective leadership behaviors, such as the importance of mentoring and supporting fellow women entrepreneurs and identify and assess challenges related to gender equality in leadership roles.
Set and achieve career goals, develop negotiating skills for equitable compensation, and explain the importance of building a strong professional network of women in business.

Upon completion of this course, students have demonstrated the ability to:

Learn about power relationships, agendas, workplace politics, and how to lead unapologetically.
Develop leadership skills that allow for you to reframe and look at problems as opportunities.
Learn to shift from a problem focus to a solution focus that will inspire people to perform at their highest level.
Create a set of professional boundaries that will allow you to ask questions, give feedback, and express your opinions, earn respect, and enhance your professional reputation.
Learn how to speak up and captivate attention through combining speech skills, delivery, timing, conciseness, and intrigue.
Identify their strengths in the workplace, explain how to manage up, and how to align with workplace leaders that will propel your career and promote your personal brand.
Learn how to harness their passion and build, prepare, present, and negotiate with vigor.
