Homework is sent home on Monday and should be returned the following Monday. Scholars have a week to complete homework. Please be sure to check your scholar's homework folder daily.

What we Are Learning:
Week 34: May 6-10, 2024.
Literacy: We will begin reading and studying 7 different genres of Cinderella stories. During this unit our focus is to describe Cinderella, her stepmother, and her stepsisters, and how they act toward people who treat them poorly by describing characters and how they respond to events.We also will focus on what happens at the ball and how it changes Cinderella and the stepsisters lives while comparing and contrasting each version of the Cinderella
Writing: We will continue narrative writing creating our own stories aligned to the key elements of Narrative writing: Character and Setting, Problem, First important event, Climax and Resolution.
Phonics: We will continue Unit 15, learning the spelling generalization sounds of Long o: ou, oo, ue, ew
Trick words: enough, special, December
Math: During this week we will interpret equal shares in composite shapes as halves, thirds, and fourths. We will also partition circles and rectangles into equal parts, and describe those parts as halves, thirds, or fourths.
