We are lucky and honored to introduce our exceptional basketball coaching staff, dedicated to guiding our student-athletes to success on and off the court. Led by Head Coach Travis Massen and with the help of Coach Jordan Bierce and Coach Gavin Bartilini, the staff consists of a dedicated group of experienced coaches who are passionate about the game and the development of young players.
Travis Massen - Head/Varsity Coach
Travis Massen brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as Head Coach of the Big Reds Basketball team. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Massen serves as a Special Education Teacher at Missouri Valley High School. His passion for education and athletics has been evident throughout his career. Before taking on the Head Coaching position, Coach Massen held the role of head JH Boys Track and Football Coach, demonstrating his commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the court.
Jordan Bierce - Assistant/JV Coach
Jordan Bierce is a valuable asset to the Big Reds Basketball coaching staff. A 2007 graduate of Missouri Valley High School, Coach Bierce brings a wealth of experience as a former player himself. He currently coaches Junior High Football and previously served as the Junior High Boys Track Coach alongside Coach Massen. Coach Bierce's military service in the US Army instills in him a strong work ethic and high expectations for his players.
