I was born to travel!
Born in Elmhurst (Queens), NYC, I took my first airplane trip at four months old when my family relocated to Tulsa, OK due to my father’s job transfer with American Airlines - and I've never stopped traveling! As an airline family (and due to my mother’s love of travel!), we spent each childhood summer visiting family in NYC, Pennsylvania/Ohio and Los Angeles – as well as on our own family vacations. For each vacation, my Mom and I would spend weeks (months?) reading though library books and her beloved National Geographic Traveler magazines planning our trips to US national parks, American cities and, of course, Europe. These trips, plus a high school student exchange to Paris and a year teaching English in Prague after college, made me passionate about exploring new cultures and helping others create travel memories of their own.
After graduating with a Bachelors and, later, a Masters Degree from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin, I chose a path of public service – and travel – to became a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State. After a fulfilling 20-year career based in Europe, the Middle East and Washington, DC, I resigned from the Department of State in 2021 after the birth of my second child.
I have now returned to my true passion – planning travel and adventures and helping others to make their travel dreams come true. I’ve been to all but two European countries and almost every U.S. state and can help determine which itinerary fits your desires. I take each family's specific desires into account to design a great, simple, hassle-free travel plan for each family – whether to Disney, on Disney Cruise Line, or a National Geographic Expedition to far away lands.
With two little children, I have experience traveling with young kids and LOVE helping families with young children navigate the travel planning - and travel doing! - process. I have tips and tricks to make even the most wiggly, active, happy toddler and preschooler happy on the journey!
My specialties are Disney World & National Geographic Expeditions (as well as cruises!).
Throughout my life, I've visited almost every city/country served by Adventures by Disney and can help you determine which itinerary is the best fit for you and your family. I have been reading and traveling with National Geographic Traveler magazines since childhood and National Geographic (and of course Disney!) hold special places in my heart!
I'm also incredibly detailed oriented and as part of any Disney World or Disneyland booking, I can include a personalized list of rides and attractions (a daily itinerary) for you to follow to minimize your wait times and have the most spectacular day.
