When we went to Chaco Canyon, we went hiking and camping. Some of my favorite parts were camping and finding a piece of turquoise on the ground. I also found a bunch of pottery shards. There was also a lot of calcium on the rocks.
One thing I learned on the trip was that the swirl symbol in pictographs represents a calendar. I also learned that the Ancient Puebloans may have believed that they were born from aliens.
The learning target for the First American Project was that I needed to learn how my tribe adapted to the climate and geography in the area they lived. We studied the First Americans in the Great Plains area. I feel like I met the target because I got a meets for the project. The project was fun to build. We had to create artifacts that represent what they made to adapt to their climate. I received an approaching for my group work because I was absent a lot.
