My biggest passions in life are working with children and helping them grow as learners, community members and people. I have been teaching since 2011. I have taught 1st and 3rd as a classroom teacher, and second grade as an English Learner teacher. My absolute favorite is 3rd grade for so many reasons!
I received my masters degree at the University of Minnesota and hold two teaching licenses in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language.
I also have specialized training in inquiry based education through International Baccalaureate and social emotional learning through Responsive Classroom, so that I can create a safe, joyful learning environment.
When I'm not at school you can find me spending time with my two little boys and husband, Michael. My boys are named Harrison (6) and Simon (4). I also love gardening, reading and crafting. I love to travel and lived in Germany for two years with a Fulbright Grant after college. Hopefully when the kids are a little older we can all go on adventures together!
I can't wait to get to know all of you and what you love to do too!
Other things I love!
He's an 9 year old goldendoodle.
We also have a new addition: poodle puppy Gigi!
We have a pin collection for every state and national park to which we've been.
What teacher doesn't love coffee, right?
