Hello Highview families! I am Jill Hallenberger. This is my second year teaching social studies at Highview, though I taught exploratory German to 8th graders here and at Chippewa Middle School from 1990-97. ( My teaching career in the Mounds View School District started in 1990!) I have taught students German (levels 1-4 also including exploratory) and 6th grade language arts and reading (in a variety of configurations) during my years in the district. I've also assisted the media specialists in the libraries at Chippewa Middle School, Irondale High School and Mounds View High School.
I earned an elementary (1-6) teaching license and German teaching license (6-12) with my studies at Luther College and the University of St. Thomas. My Masters' work was completed in Curriculum and Instruction at the College of St. Scholastica. I am committed to helping each student learn as they grow into a successful global citizen.
In my free time I enjoy traveling in the US and abroad. spending time with family and friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking and reading.
