About ME

Welcome to 5th grade! I am excited to get started and can’t wait to learn more about your child and family.  This will be my 17th year teaching.  I have taught grades 2, 4, 5, and have been an interventionist teacher.  I am excited to start my 2nd year at Mounds View Schools!

I received my teaching degree in Elementary Education from the University of MN-Twin Cities and later earned my Master's in Education from the U of MN.

I am married with 4 children who are also in the Mounds View District.  Go Irondale!!  When I am not busy going from activity to activity for my kids, I like to watch movies, read, and listen to music.  I also love to travel.  Our latest adventure was staying downtown Chicago.  Our family's favorite destination though is Kauai, Hawaii.

We also have (currently) 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 fish, and 5 backyard chickens!

Personal Supplies:

1 backpack 

1 pair – earbuds or headphones (no bluetooth) for chromebook 

3 pocket folders – one of each red, blue, and green

2 spiral  notebooks (red, blue) 

1 black composition notebook

1 package of markers or colored pencils 

1 supply box or pencil case

1 calculator—TI 30 or similar 

1 Pencil sharpener (personal)

1 package of 24 #2 pencils, sharpened (recommend Ticonderoga) or mechanical pencils

1 box of tissue

2 highlighters

1(or more) Ultra Thin Black Sharpie for Art Specialist

2 (or more) erasers for STEAM Specialist
