Mrs. Sharp
Welcome to Kindergarten!
Hello and welcome to Mrs. Sharp's KB Kindergarten class for the 2025-2026 school year. I am excited to have your child in my class.
Families will receive a classroom packet of information on the first day of school (classroom visits). Inside, families will find information that is pertinent to the school year activities and expectations.
Families are encouraged to email Mrs. Sharp with questions and concerns throughout the school year, as I truly believe that children benefit most when teachers and caregivers work together as a team to advocate for their child.
We are going to have so many fun activities this year, and I hope that you and your child will find kindergarten to be a year full of growth and memory making.
When questions or concerns need to be addressed outside of an email, families are welcomed to schedule a meeting so that we can come up with an action plan that will help students have an enjoyable and successful year of kindergarten.
Thank you, in advance, for partnering with me to give your child the best experience possible. I can't wait to meet my new students!
About me
I graduated from Towson University and I have been in education as a pre-kindergarten and kindergarten teacher, a developmental therapist, a youth librarian and a kindergarten and second grade teaching assistant. I worked at Mount St. Mary's University in Higher Education for 2 years in the Career Center. I love the field of education and I especially enjoy the early learning years. I truly believe that building a strong foundation helps students become lifelong learners.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Prov. 22:6 NIV)
Communication:
Time sensitive communication (i.e. Transportation Changes and Medication Administered in the morning before school) should be written in the daily take home folders. All other communication may be sent via email. I will respond to emails as soon as I am able. However, thank you for understanding that I may not be at my computer during instruction time. If an urgent need arises throughout the day that requires immediate attention, please contact the school office. Thank you in advance. Mrs. Sharp
