All - Sixth and Final round IPSHA games (AM) - Prep to email teams and fixtures during the week on Thursday.

Prep Sports - Transition Advice
- Two weeks remain of Summer Sports - fixtures conclude on Saturday 21 March.
- Winter Sports starts in Term 2 - with the exception of a pre-season after school training session on Wednesday 25 March (Week 9, Term 1) - with no after school training in Week 10 (Term 1).

Kindy Easter Egg Drive - please send donations of small easter eggs, packets of hunting eggs or larger chocolate bunnies to the Kindergarten classrooms by the end of the day Monday 23 March. Eggs will be delivered to Link Community Care who will distribute them to families in need.
SAVE THE DATE: Mother's Day Breakfast - Thursday 7 May 2026 from 8:15 to 9:30am - Prep Undercroft.
FYI - Enrichment Schedule - will be released on Friday 20 March with bookings opening on Tuesday 31 March @12.30pm. Note - each term the Enrichment Schedule is sent out in the second last week of term, with bookings open the following Tuesday at 12:30pm (last week of Term).
Class Account Contribution ($60 per family) - Each year the class parents request an optional contribution of $60 for the class account - this covers costs such as teacher birthday and end-of-year gifts, as well as teacher attendance at your teacher thank you event. Please pay your contribution into the class account (BSB: 732 285 / Account: 500554 / Name: Toby Barnes).

Individual Ticket: $280 per person - nominate a year group or families you’d like to be seated with.
Table of 10: $2,800 - secure a table now - guest names can be confirmed later.

Dress Code: Formal

Note: After 25 March, prices revert to the standard rate of $298 per person or $2,980 per table of 10.

Winter Sports - Transition (Terms 2 and 3)

Welcome to Winter Sports!

We are now entering the winter sports season - Terms 2 & 3

Training and Saturday fixtures - overall structure stays the same!

Sports training is held after school one afternoon each Wednesday, combined with an in-school training session every second Friday.
Boys will then play each Saturday with the fixtures shared by Prep on the Thursday prior to the game.

Wednesday (After-School) Training - timing gets a bit more complicated

See below for dates for After-School Training:

Term 1 - Wednesday 25 March only (Week 9). Note - NO TRAINING IN WEEK 10 (Wednesday 1 April)
Term 2 - Wednesday 22 April (Week 1) and concludes Wednesday 24 June (Week 10).
Term 3 - Wednesday 22 July (Week 1) and concludes Wednesday 12 August (Week 4). Note - no sports for the remainder of Term 3.

Uniforms

For Saturday sports and after-school sports training, boys will need to wear their team sports uniform - see images below.
Shoes - soccer and rugby boots need to be mostly black.
Gear - soccer boys need shin pads, while rugby boys need mouth guards and headgear (optional).

Winter Sports Training

Sports training is held after school one afternoon each week (After-School Training), combined with an in-school training session every second Friday (In-School Training).

Wednesday (After-School) Training

Term 1 - 25 March only (Week 9) - NO TRAINING IN WEEK 10 (1 April); Term 2 - 22 April (Week 1) and concludes 24 June (Week 10); Term 3 - 22 July (Week 1) and concludes 12 August (Week 4).

Time - 3:00-4:30pm
Uniform - boys to bring their full rugby or soccer uniform (Note - reversible training shirt compulsory).
Gear - shin guards for soccer and mouth guard for rugby (head gear optional)
Location = Balmoral Oval
Pick up - at your son's allocated venue (4:30pm)

Friday (In-School) Training

Held every second week (odd weeks: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11)

Uniform - boys wear PE uniform (navy polo) - Gear not required
Location = Georges Heights Oval
Pick up - Georges Heights oval or School (3pm)

Wet Weather - Training - please assume training is on unless you receive a Prep notification that it has been cancelled (via email or Prep App).

Summer Sports Information - Term 1

Sports Training

Sports training is held after school one afternoon each week (After-School Training), combined with an in-school training session every second Friday (In-School Training).

Wednesday (After-School) Training

Commences Wednesday 4 Feb (week 2) and concludes Wednesday 18 March (week 8). Note - after school Winter Sports training commences on Wednesday 25 March (week 9).

Time - 3:00-4:30pm
Uniform - boys to bring their full basketball or cricket uniform (Note - reversible basketball training shirt not compulsory for Term 1)
Basketball Location = School
Cricket Location = Balmoral Oval
Pick up - at your son's allocated venue (4:30pm)

Friday (In-School) Training

Held every second week (odd weeks: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9)

Uniform - boys wear PE uniform (navy polo) - sports uniform and kit/gear not required
Basketball Location = Marie Bashir Indoor Sports Centre (MISC) or School
Cricket Location = Georges Heights Oval
Pick up - Georges Heights oval or MISC (2.45pm) or School (3pm)

Wet Weather - Training - please assume training is on unless you receive a Prep notification that it has been cancelled (via email or Prep App).

Saturday Games

IPSHA Summer Sport Competition

Commences = (Round 1) = Saturday 14 February
Concludes = (Round 6) - Saturday 21 March (recommences in Term 4 - Rounds 7-11).
IPSHA sport teams will be announced via the School App each Thursday.
Uniforms - Basketball uniform is basketball singlet, shorts, white gym shoes, Prep socks. Cricket uniform is white cricket t-shirt, long white pants, white gym shoes, Prep socks and cricket broad-brimmed hat.

Sickness or Wet Weather

Sickness - if your son is unwell or unable to attend at the last minute - please contact another parent in your team so they can pass on the message to your coach.
Unavailable - if your son will be unavailable, please inform Mr Riddett in advance at sriddett@mosmanprep.nsw.edu.au.
Wet Weather Line (Saturdays) - 9990 9196 - this is updated on Saturdays between 6:30am and 7am. It has the most up-to-date information on the status of your game (if the message has not been updated, the game is on as scheduled).

Terrey Hills

Uniform - PE uniform with house-coloured t-shirts to be worn
No lunch orders - packed recess and lunch required
Parent volunteers are encouraged - please email your class teacher if you'd like to volunteer.
Volunteers at Terrey Hills need to comply with the volunteering requirements as below (WWCC and Volunteer Form).

Volunteering

All school volunteers must complete a Volunteer Form and have a current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Please send completed forms to volunteer@mosmanprep.nsw.edu.au at least one day prior.
Canteen - Daily volunteers are required for the recess period 10:20-11:20am. Please sign up using this link for a 1-hour shift any day(s) during school term. Any questions, please contact Jeff Brown on 0400 410 737

Second Hand Uniform Shop - Please join the volunteer roster - opening the shop once per month. If you are interested, please contact Ginny Vacy-Lyle on 0409 545 303.

Absences and Travel

Absences need to be logged via the School App (Orbit) prior to 8.20am.
Late arrivals must report to Reception before proceeding to their classroom.
Early departures must be emailed to the Office and classroom teacher prior to the day - boys are then collected from Reception at departure time.
Changes to regular travel arrangements must be emailed to the school and classroom teacher by 12pm that day. For emergencies please call the Office directly on 9968 4044.
