SAT/ACT Testing 2020-2021
School Day Testing:
Wednesday, October 14, 2020 MHS will be providing the state mandated SAT test on site.
This test is required for every senior, even if you've already taken the SAT.
Test doors will open at 7:50. Temperatures will be taken at the door. While it is important that you test if you are able to do so, PLEASE do not attend if you are ill.
Everyone tests on the 14th. It does not matter which group you are assigned to or if you are "Remote Only." You will test on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
If you miss this test, you will have to make it up. It is a state requirement. Morrison School District has no discretion over who tests and who doesn't.
Testing should last until about 1:00. We should end a bit before, but assuming 1:00 gives plenty of time.
Seniors will be released at 1:00 to leave the school.
Anyone who wants a sack lunch from the cafeteria, please let Ms. Streets know and one will be available.
Test Preparation:
This is short notice for a test of this type. I would encourage just doing your best the day of.
REMEMBER - Virtually all colleges have waived any type of standardized testing requirement. These test scores will be helpful with some scholarships, but the entire world is aware of how difficult standardized tests are this year. While this test is still very important, it's not quite as important as in years gone by.
Be sure you wear comfortable clothes. This is a long time to sit in one place and focus. This is a good day to wear your favorite sweats.
NO CELL PHONES OR SMART WATCHES. We will take them at the door so please don't bring them.
Bring a calculator.
Bring your favorite #2 pencils. Remember, no mechanical pencils.
Eat breakfast. Studies and experts state that something substantial and not too sugary is best. This is a long morning.
Sleep well. This is the night to go to bed at 8:00 and turn off all your screens.
