Participants will be registered as an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota Morris and enrolled in a course that will show on an official transcript from the University of Minnesota Morris.

EDINBURGH Arrival. Arrive Edinburgh on own and make own way to the UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH-FRASER COURT for check-in (room only, no breakfast). Official check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Afternoon free for independent exploration. Bed linens and towels provided.

EDINBURGH. Morning (9:00-11:00 a.m.) classroom space at Quaker Meeting House*, 7 Victoria Street, for an orientation. Afternoon City Exploration Bingo or Scavenger Hunt as arranged by faculty directors.

EDINBURGH (Glasgow visit). Make own way to Waverly Train Station for morning departure by train to Glasgow, 2nd class ticket provided. Upon arrival meet your local guide for walking tour of the Gorbals, followed by a visit to Provand’s Lordship, a medieval house built in 1471 (to be arranged by faculty; no museum entrance funds included). Evening walk to train station for evening departure (6:16 p.m.) by train to Edinburgh, 2nd class ticket provided.

We assume interested participants have the ability to walk for more than a mile over terrain that is sometimes rough, with varying elevations. A good sense of balance and athletic shoes or hiking boots are essential, and walking poles may be desirable.
