About Joe

Hello All!

My name is Joe. I am originally from New Jersey, just outside of New York City. I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher in 2002 (I actually taught a half-day Pre-K the year before as a senior in college). During my teacher career I have taught many grades (K, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7-12). I was an elementary school assistant principal for 2 years then moved to Minnesota and became an elementary principal for 6 years.

I work with the University of Minnesota Morris' Education Division teaching mostly elementary classes (with a specialty in Math and Science). I also teach an algebra course with the mathematics department. Other than my work at UMM I work with the Morris Area School district in their theatre department, student council and am the elementary school EAGER coordinator.

I love to stay busy. If I'm not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I fly 'home' to New Jersey frequently. I've worked in the professional and amateur theatre most of my life (including with the Broadway musical Lysistrata Jones).
