On early dismissal days, students can attend Tiger Cubz from 12:30 - 5:15 p.m. During this time, students will play outside, work on their homework, hang out with their friends, and enjoy free time. Please pre-register with appropriate Tiger Cubz materials. Space on these days is LIMITED. The primary purpose of the Tiger Cubz program is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten classes and 4 years old by September 1st, 2025 at Morris Area Schools. during after school hours at Morris Area Elementary. While at Tiger Cubz, students will enjoy a healthy snack, move their bodies, explore creativity, and expand their knowledge through a structured, yet flexible daily schedule.
With guidance from the Early Education coordinator, classroom teachers, and the Tiger Cubz staff , we provide a relaxed environment where students are able to work on targeted concepts as needed, including academic, recreational, and enrichment activities. All activities provided will be age/skill level appropriate.
September 4 - May 22
Your child must be registered for Tiger Cubz before they can start attending . These things are needed:
1) Student Information Form
2) Parent Information Handbook - Read
3) Allergy Health Form completed (if applicable)
4) Emergency Medication Administration Form( if applicable)
5) Tiger Cubz monthly calendar + fees PAID before attendance
Information on the Student Information enrollment form includes: identification data, person(s) authorized to pick up your child, medical information, emergency information, and signatures from both a parent/guardian and the student. Permission and release information is also included. The Parent Information Handbook has important Tiger Cubz information - essentially the Tiger Cubz how-to guide.
Tiger Cubz's daily charge is to cover snacks and extracurricular activities and materials. Monthly fees must be paid in advance and may be done at Morris Area Community Education office. Each time your child attends Tiger Cubz, they must be signed up in order to attend for that day. Monthly reminders will be sent to collect the upcoming month's calendar and fees. Scholarships and reduced fees are available for qualified families who apply and are approved based on need.
Tiger Cubz is not in session during the planned school holidays, no school days. In the event of school closing, Tiger Cubz will not be held on weather-related early dismissal days or when school is canceled. The Tiger Cubz staff is made up of MACE Staff. Each staff member brings a unique set of talents, qualities, and backgrounds, but all of them have the same strong passion for working with children. In cooperation with the ECFE Coordinator, the Tiger Cubz staff work directly with the students each day. They are excellent role models, active learners, and teachers.
