PART TIME Employment 

Morris Area Community Education is currently accepting applications for part time employment. Candidates should be highly motivated, creative, and have a strong interest in working with youth. 

Some examples of opportunities include: Site Supervisors, Umpires, Referees, Coaches, and Field Maintenance.

Education won’t fizzle at Summer Sizzle!  We are looking for VISTAs to provide reading and literacy instruction to students over the course of the summer in a fun, upbeat environment.  Come join us! 

VISTAs will be responsible for working with students grades K-3 on literacy and reading related skills through a variety of different mediums – books, arts and crafts, flashcards, reading, etc.  They will be expected to provide instruction and enrichment activities to students in both large and small group settings.  Each day will be something new, as Summer Sizzle is a drop in program; however, many of our students are on a consistent schedule.  In this fast paced, creative environment, VISTAs will have many opportunities to work alongside other staff members, but also lead and create their own activities.  We hope to provide a positive experience to those that love reading, but also to those that may have negative feelings towards literacy.  With support from the VISTAs, we can track student progress that we can use now, and in the future.  The VISTA will use literacy interventions and conduct assessments to ensure students are on track to read at grade level.  We also expect VISTAs to assist our other staff members with group activities, and to incorporate reading and literacy components when able.
