Photography: From the Greek photos (ϕοτοσ), light, and graphos (γραοσ), writing, delineation, or painting, meaning “drawing with light”.
When I discovered a passion for photography, my main focus was on colours, patterns and details of the banal that otherwise goes unnoticed to the eyes. By analysing how the masters of painting have used light, I gained the ability to create images and achieve the desired lighting effects.
Combining conceptual photography with studio techniques to convey a message, the “Renaissance series” is about the influence of technology in the young generation today, it can be either an enemy or an ally, the decision lies on the viewer. The “Plastic Promises series” reflects on the alternative methods to the everyday disposable plastic, romantically portraying these items and inviting the viewer to consider the environment.
