Challenger Learning Center Field Trip

With over 25 years of missions, summer programs, school outreach, and other events, the Center is working as hard as ever on its mission to bring hands-on STEAM education to students in Eastern Kentucky and beyond!

4H Environmental Day Camp

Students will spend the day exploring nature, learning about the enviornment, and discovering the imporatnce of caring for our world. Hands0on activities, outdoor adventures, and team learning!

Morgan County District STLP

Morgan County will be hosting their second District STLP competition on October 14th. Students will present and display their projects and be judged before heading to regionals.

Fall Carnival

MCES PTCO will be having our fall carnival on October 16th from 5:30-7:30

Little Learners

Each month, our preschool-aged students (ages 3–5) dive into activities that build early learning skills, promote KY Preschool Standards, and encourage kindergarten readiness.

From stories and crafts to hands-on play, every activity is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and prepare our youngest learners for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is a week for staff and students to join together to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles. We celebrate with themed days, fun activities, and imporant conversations that encourage our kids to make safe and positive choices for their future.

Coffee @ Central

Families, we would love to invite you to our monthly Coffee @ Central meetings. This is a great opportunity for families, staff, and community members to come together, share ideas, and help shape our school and promote student success! Friday, October 30th at 9 AM

Past Events (25/26 school year)

Jumpstart/Openhouse- August 11th, 2025

Morgan Central welcomed our incoming Kindergarten students, as well as our returning students to our back to school celebration! Students enjoyed meeting their teachers, visiting with friends, and jumping around on inflatables. Students received a free backpack with school supplies provided by the FRC.

Grandparents Day- September 5th, 2025

We were thrilled to welcome so many wonderful grandparents to MCES for our Games With Grands! The day was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of friendly competition as students and their grandparents teamed up for rounds of bingo.
