Who is Mrs. Ward?

WELCOME to the 2024-25 school year!!

My name is Melissa Ward.  I grew up in Bostwick and graduated from Morgan County.  My husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary this summer.  We have two boys (a third grader and freshman in college).  I am beginning my 24th year of teaching.  I taught 12 years in Newton County and am starting my 12th year at MCES.  I received my Early Childhood Education degree from Georgia Southern University, and I completed my Master’s Degree from Troy University.  I love to spend time with my family, and I also enjoy reading.  I can’t wait to read some amazing books and share my love of history with your child this year!
