School Counselor, Community Schools Coordinator

I am happy to serve the students at Latimer as a Counselor and a Community Schools Coordinator.  I have worked in education for over 15 years, which is my life's passion. 

When I am not at school coordinating events or working with students, I enjoy attending musicals and reading books.I also spend time with my husband and  7-year-old son.

Maria Jimenez- Garcia 

Community Liaison, Community Schools

I love working with Latimer students and the community as a Community Liaison. I joined The Moreland School District in 2009; it has been a beautiful adventure!  I enjoy being in contact with the community and helping everyone become familiar with our activities, events, and all the fun things that happen at Latimer! 

 I also speak Spanish, and it is amazing to watch how our students who joined our District without any English become fluent in English and adapt to their day routine at school so quickly.  Watching the community and students grow has been a pleasant experience!
