Its interface and structure feel dated, and I suspect that due to its size and complexity, it may no longer be realistically adaptable. Rather than evolving, it seems like a platform approaching the end of its lifecycle—one that may eventually need to be rebuilt from scratch or replaced entirely. While it has served the IB community for years, it’s beginning to show its age in ways that hinder rather than help.
By contrast, Toddle feels like a platform built for the present. I’ve had some experience using Toddle from the parent side, and it immediately struck me as more intuitive, cleaner, and designed to match the expectations of today’s technology users. Its integration of IB-aligned planning tools, along with real-time sharing of classroom updates and assessments, creates a seamless communication channel between teachers and families. The ability to build units, assess work, and communicate progress—all in one place—feels more streamlined and accessible than what ManageBac currently offers. For these reasons, I would strongly urge our school to consider transitioning to Toddle as a more modern and user-friendly alternative.
