Morehead Machinery is a family-owned precision machining company based in Elkhart, Indiana. Since starting our shop in 2017, we've been serving a diverse clients across various industries with a focus on quality, reliability, and exceeding expectations.

• CNC Machining: From delicate prototypes to large-scale production runs, our CNC machines handle it all with unwavering accuracy. We specialize in milling, turning, drilling, and more, ensuring every component meets your exact specifications. We have 4 CNC Mills, 3 CNC Lathes and 2 Wire EDMs. We can hold +/-0.0005 tolerances. We have a ton of inspection equipment to make sure our parts are meeting your requirements.

• Material Expertise: We work with a wide range of metals, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, plastic and specialty alloys, to meet the unique demands of your project. Whether it's high-strength parts, or lightweight components, we have the material knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional results.

• Welding Wizardry: Our welders are masters of their craft, adept in various welding techniques like TIG and MIG. We create robust and aesthetically pleasing welds, ensuring structural integrity and a seamless finish for your project. We have experience welding aluminum, stainless, steel and cast iron in a variety of different ways to repair parts.

• Custom Machinery and Fixtures: We have extensive experience building custom machinery and fixtures. Our team can work together with you to bring your idea to life and build a machine to meet your requirements and exceed your expectations. We have a wide range of experience in the fabrication, packaging, foam and plastic extrusion industries as well as many other fields. We can do all design work, building, machining and even the panel wiring and programming in-house with our team. We have experience with AutomationDirect and Mitsubishi Electric Drives, PLCs, HMIs, Servos as well as Yaskawa VFDs and many other brands.

• Machinery Repair: Our team has decades of combined experience repairing all types of industrial machinery. From diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems, to developing a plan and implementing a course of action to get your machinery back up and running quickly.

• Metal Shaping Magic: We bend and form metal into complex shapes with precision and finesse. Our fabrication capabilities extend beyond simple cuts and welds, allowing us to create intricate assemblies and functional prototypes that meet your precise needs. We have a 90 ton CNC Brake Press, a 5'x10' 3KW CO2 CNC Laser and a 10' Shear to meet your fabrication needs.

• Design for Manufacturability: We don't just follow blueprints; we optimize them. Our team works closely with you to ensure your designs are not only functional but also manufacturable, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency in the production process. We utilize Fusion360 for our CAD/CAM work. Not only can we do your design work in-house, we can also reverse engineer parts when needed.

• Quality Control at Every Step: We're committed to delivering the highest quality products. Our rigorous quality control measures ensure every component meets your exacting standards, from dimensional accuracy to surface finish. We utilize a range of in-process inspections and precision measuring instruments to make sure every part meets our exacting standards. We can also write up inspection reports when required and are in the process of adding a CMM to our inspection department to further increase our inspection abilities.
