Virtuous Circle Counselling is a Calgary-based therapy and assessment clinic created for people who want meaningful support, practical progress, and a space where they can speak freely. We serve individuals, couples, and families with a team of Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, Registered Clinical Social Workers, Registered Social Workers, and counselling interns who bring a wide range of training and real-world experience. Our work is grounded in collaboration: you bring your story, goals, and values, and we help you build a plan that fits your life—whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, life transitions, parenting challenges, or a period where everything just feels heavier than it should.
With extended hours and multiple ways to meet, we make access easier for busy schedules and different comfort levels. Clients can choose in-person sessions, online therapy, phone counselling, or walk-and-talk therapy when movement and an outdoor setting feel more natural. We also provide psychological assessments for children, youth, and adults, including psychoeducational and ADHD assessments, as well as other screening and assessment services designed to clarify learning, attention, and support needs. We currently accept new clients and offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to help you decide if the fit feels right—because a strong therapeutic alliance matters.
A Team Built for Real-Life Needs
Our clinic brings together professionals with diverse credentials and areas of focus, so your support can match what you’re going through—not just a generic approach. From relationship concerns to trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, adolescent stress, or performance pressures, you’re paired with a Calgary therapist trained through accredited education and guided by evidence-informed therapy practices. The focus is practical: understanding patterns, reducing symptoms, building coping skills, and improving day-to-day functioning in ways you can actually feel.
Flexible Ways to Attend Therapy
Access is part of care. That's why we offer multiple session formats: in-person appointments, online therapy, phone counselling, and walk-and-talk therapy. Some people open up more easily at home, others prefer an office setting, and some find movement helps conversations flow. With extended hours and multiple clinic locations, it becomes easier to keep consistency—especially when life is busy, stress is high, or schedules change quickly.
Assessment Services for Clarity and Direction
When questions involve learning, attention, or functioning, clarity can bring relief and direction. We provide psychological assessments for children, youth, and adults, including psychoeducational, ADHD, and gifted assessments. Assessments can support diagnosis, identify strengths and challenges, and guide next steps for treatment, school planning, or accommodations. The goal is to reduce guesswork and help families and individuals feel more confident in what to do next.
A Values-Based, Inclusive Environment
We aim to offer a welcoming, affirming space for a wide range of relationship structures and identities, including LGBTQ+ partnerships and diverse family systems. Therapy works best when clients feel emotionally safe and respected. We also recognize that cost can be a barrier, so we offer affordable counselling options when needed, while keeping care focused on fit, quality, and steady progress. If you’re unsure where to start, the free 30-minute phone consultation is designed to help you decide whether our clinic is the right fit.
Choosing a clinic is a personal decision, and it’s normal to feel uncertain at the start. What matters most is finding a place where you feel respected, supported, and understood—where goals are clear, and the process feels workable. Virtuous Circle Counselling is built to meet clients where they are, with flexible options, a broad team, and services that range from therapy to assessment when clarity is needed.
