The 2020-21 season was severely disrupted by the outbreak of COVID-19. The following season saw head coach Tom Dooher side lined by health challenges, requiring a major shake up in the coaching line up. Despite the disruptions to training the Spuds continued to see success in competition, culminating in a 5th place for Sprint Relay duo Jacki Johnson ('25) & Abbie Ishaug ('23) and an All State medal winner, Zaine Braten ('23), with a 7th at the 2023 MN State Championships.

Following the 2022-23 season, founding coach Tom Dooher retired and stepped down as the Head Coach of the team. Assistant Coach and alumnus, Eric Wicklund ('16), inherited head coaching responsibilities. The team also saw two of its long-time assistant coaches depart the team.
The 2024-25 Nordic season saw the Spuds send their highest number of athletes to the State Meet. Two girls, Jacki Johnson ('25) and Addy Stordahl ('26), qualified for the state meet by placing 2nd and 5th at Sections.
