Library Review Committee (LRC)

The Library Review Committee has been established to evaluate materials in the Monument Academy (MA) library/media center if a parent or legal guardian of a current MA student or a staff member raises an objection or concern about the content. The committee is composed of the MA Librarian, the Assistant Principal, selected teachers, and parent volunteers from the MA community.

The Library Review Committee Policy applies to materials cataloged by the librarians in the MA library/media center. It does not cover curriculum, supplemental curriculum materials, or individual classroom library materials. For more information, view the LRC policy.

Library material Reconsideration

The Library Reconsideration Form is provided for reviewing Monument Academy (MA) library/media center materials if a parent/legal guardian of a current MA student or staff member has an objection to or a concern with the material's content. This includes materials cataloged by the librarians in the MA library/media center only. This does not include curriculum, supplemental curriculum materials, or individual classroom library materials.

Individual Student Restrictions: You may complete this form to add an important notification to your student's account. Notices pertain to books your student may not check out. A notice will appear for the librarians on your student's account during each checkout.

Library Restrictions: Complete this form if you wish to request reconsideration of school or library resources. Your submission will be emailed to the MA librarian and the school principal, and the material will be removed from the library shelves until a review is completed. All submissions are confidential. The Library Review Committee reviews your responses.
