Our classroom behavior management system coincides with our MES school-wide positive behavior reward system. Students are to follow our 3”B’s” at all times in our classroom and throughout their school day.
The 3 B’s:
1. Be safe.
2. Be responsible.
3. Be respectful.
*We work together the first weeks of school to establish an understanding of how these rules translate to classroom behavior.
Behavior Color Codes:
Green : Everyone starts their day on green.
Green #1: After 2/3 verbal warnings ( lose 2 min recess)
Green #2: After more verbal warnings (lose 5 min recess)
Yellow: (lose 10 min recess)
Red: Parent Contact and lose entire recess
Each student begins the day on Green. Throughout the day, the students may move to another color based on his or her individual behavior. Students will receive 2/3 verbal warnings before moving to a different color. Students also have the opportunity to fix their behavior and move back to a positive color throughout the day. Rewards or consequences will be given based on the color each child is on. I will be in contact if there is ever an issue or repeated behavior I feel you should be aware of. My goal is to develop a positive learning environment by keeping your child engaged and motivated to learn.
