Summer Monticello Pickleball Tournament

A wonderful way to get out and help support the Monticello Tennis Program as well as have some fun!  Come join us for our Monticello Tennis & Pickleball Tournament leading up to Riverfest Days in Monticello! 

Tournament Rules & Regulations

The tournament will provide pickleballs for all matches.

Pickleball Rules:

• • Rules:  It’s your responsibility to read the rules before the tournament.

  • Tournament play will be round robin games to 11, win by 2 points.

  • Teams will switch ends of the court once a team reaches 6 points.

  • 1 time-out of 60 seconds is allowed per team / per game.

  • Round robin play will determine placement in a bracket as teams play for the championship.

  • Following round robin pool play in each division, teams will be placed in a single elimination bracket to play for the championship.  The tournament director reserves the right to determine the number of participants in the bracket playoff based on time and number of teams in an event.

  • Bracket play will be a single game to 11, win by 2 points up to the semi-finals.

  • Finals will be 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points.

  • This format is "time-permitting". Tournament director reserves the right to adjust the format for time concerns/limitations.

  • Check in:  You are welcome to check in one hour prior to your bracket start time.  We will meet on court ONE 15 minutes prior to playing to explain the rules and share court assignments.

Wednesday, July 11, 2023 *Please note that you will need to register by June 30th to receive a t-shirt.

Location: 

Monticello Middle School Tennis Courts (800 East Broadway): 6 courts

**(In the case of inclement weather we will be at the Monticello High School Field House (5225 School Blvd.): 15 indoor pickleball courts (taped lines)**

*All players must check in and be ready to play 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match.

Events Offered:

• Women's (2 pm)

• Men's (2 pm)

• Mixed (5 pm)

Entry Fees:

Singles: $35

Doubles: $70 ($35 per player)

Awards:

Award Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in each event.

Consolation:

All events will have a guaranteed 2 matches. The inclusion of consolation brackets will be determined by the amount of people that are registered in each event. 

Schedule:

The schedule may be updated due to weather or inclement weather. The schedule and brackets will be updated as time allows during the tournament on this website (see brackets below). 

Friday: Play will begin at 2:00pm and played until completion.

Additional Information:

• There will be water at the tournament site provided for players.

• No alcohol is allowed on premise at the tennis tournament.
