Ceramics

Course Objective: In Ceramics I, we will be learning basic hand-building construction and pottery wheel skills and glazing techniques. Students will learn basic ceramic vocabulary, study ceramic artists and create 3-4 main clay projects. Each student’s collection of work will be showcased through a digital art portfolio.

• Pinched Teabowl

• Double Pinch Pot Animal sculpture

• Nature Sculpture

• Hand-formed draped project

• Coiled vase

• Wheel thrown form

• Slab-built Tiki Lantern with pierced design

• Sgraffito Plate

• Mugs w/ handle and Art-inspired design
